In this course you will develop a framework for astrology that serves to organize what you know and make it accessible in a reading. You’ll learn to balance the rational mind with your intuition and find answers when you need them. We’ll cover secondary progressions and transits.

CONNECT THE DOTS
an intermediate astrology class

Ever since our first view of the sky, humans have found meaning in the patterns formed by the dots of light above us. As an astrologer you’ll look to connect the symbols in a chart. This class will help you take what you know of the symbols and shape it into a reading. We’ll work with natal charts, progressions and transits. And we’ll exercise the mind to develop your intuitive skills.

This course mixes the most useful techniques of astrology with practical methods from Raja Yoga to center and focus the mind and open your intuition. It’s a hands-on class with charts from class members’ files. Deepen your understanding of progressions and solar arcs, and stimulate the astrology region in your brain. The chakras are powerful centers in our mind/body energy field whose subtle forces reflect the cycles of planets above us. In this workshop you will explore the energy of the chakras, learn how they correlate with your astrology chart and find ways to deepen your yoga practice, based on your chart.

Mark Wolz and Ricardo Sisco both teach yoga and practice astrology in New York. In their experience, these disciplines are deeply interwoven; their practice focuses on the energetic connections between body, mind and spirit. Ricardo has been teaching yoga for 15 years in a variety of settings; he is a member of the Teacher Training staff at Integral Yoga Institute. He has been practicing astrology since 1991. Mark has been teaching yoga for eight years and astrology for two decades; he is certified for both teaching and consulting by NCGR (National Council for Geocosmic Research).

In the workshop we will practice asana, sound vibration, pranayama and visualization. All levels of yoga and astrology study are welcome. For the workshop, please wear loose, comfortable clothing, suitable for movement.

We’ll ask for your birth data (time, date and location) when you register. The fee is $60.

In Solar Arc Directions all the planets travel in the wake of the progressed Sun, and the events they touch off give us great clues for timing and rectification. Learn how to use them in readings.
Imprinted within the psyche for each of us is the pattern of planets as they were positioned in the sky at our birth. In the days and weeks following the moment of birth that pattern goes through subtle shifts that play into the psyche and affect its development through life. The Sun animates the whole system; all the planets reflect the light of the Sun. In solar arc directions we advance every planet according to the arc of the progressed Sun, a degree per year in our
lives. This technique holds the Sun at the center of our lives – just as it is the center of the solar system – by keeping the planets in their initial configuration with the Sun.
